2. How We Use Your Personal Data
We may collect, use and disclose your personal data for purposes including:

We will not use your personal data for purposes that are unrelated to the purposes for which it was collected unless we have obtained the appropriate consent or the use is otherwise permitted or required by law.
3. NRIC, FIN and Identification Documents
Fong Chin Capital may collect and use NRIC, FIN or other identification information where this is required or permitted by law, or where it is necessary to accurately establish or verify your identity to the appropriate degree of certainty.
Where physical identification documents are required for verification, they will be inspected in accordance with applicable moneylending requirements.
Fong Chin Capital will not retain your physical NRIC, FIN card, passport, work permit, employment pass, ATM card or other original identification document as security for a loan.
We will never ask you to provide passwords, PINs or login credentials for your Singpass, internet banking, email or other personal accounts.
4. Face-to-Face Identity Verification
Where required under Singapore's licensed moneylending requirements, borrowers must attend Fong Chin Capital's approved place of business for face-to-face identity verification before a loan is granted.
Information submitted online may be used to facilitate an enquiry or application process, but submission of information online does not by itself constitute final approval or grant of a loan.
5. Consent and Withdrawal of Consent
Where consent is required under the PDPA, by voluntarily providing personal data to us for a stated purpose, you consent to Fong Chin Capital collecting, using and disclosing that information for that purpose and related purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.
You may withdraw your consent to the continued collection, use or disclosure of your personal data by contacting our Data Protection Officer.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect our right or obligation to retain, use or disclose personal data where this is permitted or required by applicable law.
Depending on the nature of your request and our legal or regulatory obligations, withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to process your application, provide a loan or continue providing certain services.
6. Disclosure of Personal Data
Where reasonably necessary or permitted by law, we may disclose relevant personal data to:

the Moneylenders Credit Bureau;

the Registry of Moneylenders and Ministry of Law;

government agencies, regulators, courts and law enforcement authorities;

professional advisers, auditors, lawyers and accountants;
-
authorised technology, IT, cybersecurity, data storage and service providers;
-
payment, banking or financial service providers involved in administering transactions;

authorised debt collection or recovery service providers, where applicable and legally permitted; and
-
other parties where disclosure is required or authorised by law or where you have provided the appropriate consent.
We will not sell your personal data to third parties.
We will also not disclose borrower information indiscriminately to third parties for unrelated purposes.
7. Moneylenders Credit Bureau
As part of our regulatory and responsible lending obligations, Fong Chin Capital may obtain, submit and update borrower and loan information through the Moneylenders Credit Bureau.
Such information may include existing loans, outstanding balances, repayment records and other information permitted or required under applicable moneylending laws and regulations.
Information obtained from the MLCB will be used for legitimate lending, credit assessment, loan administration, regulatory and compliance purposes.
8. Protection of Your Personal Data
We take reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal data in our possession or under our control against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, loss, disposal or similar risks.
Access to borrower information is restricted to authorised personnel and service providers who require access for legitimate business, lending, servicing, compliance or regulatory purposes.
Although we take reasonable measures to safeguard personal data, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Retention of Personal Data
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
